During

Sandy
Dumont of THE Image Architect in Virginia Beach
was brought in to advise
the WTKR
staff.
Earlier
this year, WTKR brought in Sandy Dumont
of THE Image Architect in Virginia
Beach for some advice. Her approach to dressing
the male anchor: The power look. That
means dark colors. Blue is business. Her
advice to the female anchor: Hair is crucial.
Go with a precision cut as opposed to something
that's wash-and-wear casual.
''In
general, the anchors on local stations are
dressed fine about 50 percent
of the time,'' Dumont said. ''But the other
50 percent of the time, they're
either in the wrong colors or wrong style.
That includes the pattern of the ties. Don't
wear a tie with a silly pattern that looks
like your wife painted it.''
Don't
knock the TV wife, Sandy.
