Nicole Richie and her ex always color coordinate their outfits-even though they're split up!

Although Nicole Richie and Adam “DJAM” Goldstein broke off their engagement last December, the two continue to hang out in coordinating outfits-something they loved to do when they were dating. “It’s a natural urge that is related to the desire for harmony,” says image consultant Sandy Dumont. By wearing green on July 18, the former couple is searching for calmness, Dumont explains, a radical departure from their previous color choices of aggressive orange and passionate purple. Nicole, 24, has said she loves “colorful clothes, “ but it’s Adam, 33, who takes the stylish lead with his meticulously coordinated sneakers and shirts. “It seems to be very important to him,” says Dumont. “I would assume that Adam sets the tone with the colors and Nicole follows along.”
