New Year - New YOU!

First impressions are important - and lasting, as Harvard University and countless studies have proven. Once that first impression has been made, we are on "auto pilot" and relegate others permanently to a particular position, status or rank. When I taught assertiveness training classes, I soon discovered that it was necessary to match a person's newfound "personality" with a matching image in order to get maximum results. Carol, right, owns three companies and is highly successful. She changed her image and immediately got the respect she was looking for from employees and clients.

My thirty years of research suggests that if you change your appearance radically, you will be re- evaluated on a new "first impression" basis. You are, in fact, a "new" person to those you encounter. And you will be treated in accordance with the new persona that you present.
