The Karaoke Mystery

Did you ever go to a Karaoke club? If not, maybe you heard Karoke being sung on TV. Perhaps you noticed something interesting. When we are at the microphone, that famous song sounds just the way the original did. But, when other people are singing, they are really off key! We find it truly amazing that all those people can't hear that they are off key.

Image is like Karaoke. It's easy to see when the image of others is "off key" but we can rarely be objecive about ourselves. Julia was told by an image consultant years ago that she was an Autumn and couldn't see that the makeup and clothing colors from that "season" took away from her natural beauty. Julia discovered that even though she was a redhead, she could wear pink, fuchsia, cherry red, purple and all the other once- forbidden colors. You are sure to agree that she is superb in royal blue and a little off key in teal.
