When we look at a person, we make an overall impression that is based on all the details we take in and process in a mere fraction of a second. Now, scientists have proven what my female clients have known for years. And that is the fact that when we make the face tone one color from forehead to chin, we will look years younger. But there is another important factor, as you will discover.

In a university study, scientists digitally removed fine lines and wrinkles from images of 169 women's faces, leaving tone variations such as blotchiness, circles, freckles and age spots as the only distinguishing features. The faces with more even skintone were judged by 430 raters to be younger, healthier, prettier. Professor Karl Grammer, with the University of Vienna, found that uneven pigmentation adds an average of 10 to 15 years to a woman's perceived age!
